Job Summary

ArchWell Health is seeking an Activity Coordinator to create a welcoming, engaging, and community-focused environment for our senior members. In close partnership with the Center Manager, this individual will be responsible for planning and delivering meaningful programming in the activity centers, developing best practices that enhance the member experience, coordinating member engagement initiatives, and ensuring all activities uphold ArchWell Health’s commitment to safety, compliance, and high-quality service.

This leader will develop programming strategies, support community partnerships, coordinate effective communication between center staff and members, and oversee the successful execution of events and activities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about enriching the lives of seniors, fostering a sense of belonging, and creating an environment where each member feels welcomed, valued, and connected.

Duties/Responsibilities

Member Experience & Programming

Coordinate all aspects of Center Activities- including strategy, communication, setup, facilitation, and breakdown—to ensure high-quality events and an exceptional member experience that ensures an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants. 

Compliance & Member Safety

Ensure all member activities adhere to compliance requirements and healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and patient safety standards.

Maintain a safe, orderly, and accessible activity center environment that supports participation by all members.

Community Engagement

Support the ArchWell Health Centers and Growth Team in building and strengthening relationships with local healthcare providers, community organizations, and marketing partners.

Identify and cultivate community partnerships that enhance programming and improve member engagement.

Communication & Coordination

Partner with the Center Manager to ensure effective communication between center staff, the activity coordinator function, and members.

Communicate programming schedules, event updates, and center-wide engagement opportunities in a timely and effective manner.

Reporting & Outcomes

Track and report on member engagement, participation trends, and activity outcomes.

Share insights and recommendations with the Center Manager to support continuous improvement in programming and member experience.

Leading Indicators

Event Engagement

Number of center events held per month.

High participation and engagement rates across scheduled programming.

Consistently positive feedback from members regarding activities and events.

Effectiveness & Efficiency

Adherence to member-experience best practices.

Number of programmed events connected to FOC (Focus on Care) measures.

Effective and efficient management of supplies, materials, and activity resources.

Lagging Indicators

Community Engagement

Strengthened relationships with local healthcare providers and community organizations.

Increased community involvement, collaboration, and long-term partnerships that support member engagement.

Required Skills/Abilities

Strong customer service skills, with a warm and welcoming demeanor.

Passion for providing a high-quality experience for our members and older adult members.

Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and integrity, with a driven and focused work ethic.

Ability to proactively identify areas for improvement and take appropriate steps to close gaps.

High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with various seniors and diverse populations including staff, providers, members, family members, insurance carriers, vendors, and the public.

Knowledge and exposure to healthcare functions, including clinical workflows, and quality-improvement initiatives.

  • Must be highly creative with a strong ability to design, prepare, and lead hands‑on activities and other enrichment programs tailored to older adult interests and abilities.
  • Should genuinely enjoy planning and facilitating engaging, fun, and therapeutic activities, including group games, themed events, social clubs, and cognitively stimulating projects that promote social connection and emotional well‑being. 
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt activities to different mobility levels, cognitive needs, and personal preferences of older adults. 

Education and Experience

High School diploma preferred, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of three (1) year of experience in hospitality, healthcare, or another high-touch client-services environment.

Experience working in a clinic or healthcare setting preferred.
